Spezia Calcio striker Emmanuel Gyasi has urged his teammates to put the weekend's loss against Carpi FC and 'go for the kill' against AS Livorno on Wednesday.

The Liguria-based side were dealt a late blow over the weekend when they lost 3-2 away to Carpi FC in the Italian Serie B despite dominating the match.

But they could quickly make amends in midweek when AS Livorno visit the Stadio Alberto Picco, and Gyasi who was on the scorer's sheet against Carpi has implored his teammates to forget the past and look forward to bouncing back against the Dark Red lads.

"An important performance will be needed, the whole team wants to respond immediately to today's ko and luckily in a few days we will return to the field."

Spezia are aiming to pick one of the playoffs slots after amassing 34 points from 24 games to sit 7th on the standings.

Gyasi has netted 4 goals and registered two assists in 23 appearances for Spezia in the ongoing Serie B campaign.
