Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Gyasi is excited after scoring for Spezia Calcio in their 5-0 win over Pro Patria in the first round of the 2019/20 Coppa Italia.

The 25-year-old opened the floodgate for the Serie B outfit in their 5-0 rout against Pro Patria last Sunday.

Gyasi, who netted three goals and provided four assists for the side last term, was elated to have opened his goalscoring account in the new campaign.

"I'm glad I started like this and I'm very proud of having scored the first official goal of the season I feel good, we worked intensely with the coach for the entire period of the retreat, every day we are increasingly assimilating his requests and for my part I will try to work a lot and always find myself ready.”

“I have to improve in the goal area, to be more concrete, because for a striker the fundamental aspect is the goal, so I have to try to reduce errors to a minimum.”
