Emmanuel Gyasi nets debut serie A goal as Spezia snatch late draw at Cagliari

Ghanaian forward Emmanuel Gyasi scored his first ever serie A goal to help Spezia secure an important draw against Cagliari on Sunday. 

Gyasi opened the scoring at the Sardegna Arena after connecting to a sweet cross from the left by Simone Bastoni.

Spezia went into the break with the lead, but two quick fire goals from Cagliari in the second half saw them take the lead before the hour mark.

Joao Pedro leveled in the 52nd minute before Leonardo Pavoletti shot the homeside in the lead on 58 minutes.

But Spezia earned a late penalty which was expertly converted by M'Bala Nzola.

Emmanuel Gyasi, who has been outstanding for the serie A newcomers had to wait till 9th game of the season to score his first goal in the topflight.

Last season's top scorer for Spezia has played all nine games this season and has two assists to his credit.
