Ghanaian forward Emmanuel Gyasi says he feels honoured after receiving a shirt from his idol Cristiano Ronaldo.
Gyasi and Ronaldo squared off in the Italian top-flight during Spezia’s 3-0 defeat at Juventus on Tuesday.
It was the second meeting between the pair as the first encounter ended in a 4-1 win in favour of the Bianconeri.
During the initial clash between the two clubs, Gyasi wanted to swap jerseys with the Portuguese superstar but he didn’t get his wish.
The 27-year-old finally got his wish in Tuesday when Ronaldo handed him his jersey at half time.
“Cristiano [Ronaldo] remembered me and he gave me his shirt at the end of the first half. It’s a real honour for me since he’s my football idol.”
Gyasi has played 25 times, netting 4 goals and providing 4 assists.
