Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Lomotey suffered a fresh injury in Extremadura UD' s 1-1 draw with Malaga in the Spanish Segunda League on Saturday.
The former Dreams FC suffered the knock in the second half and had to be replaced by David Rochas in the 68th minute.
Lomotey was starting his first game for Extremadura since the return of football in Spain.
The 22-year old impressed in last Wednesday's defeat to Albacete earning him a starting role on Saturday.
The latest setback makes him a doubt for Tuesday's clash with Real Zaragoza.
