Defender Emmanuel Ntim was named man of the match after inspiring Valenciennes FC to a vital win in French Ligue 2.

Ntim scored the match winner when Valenciennes pipped SM Caen 1-0 on Saturday.

The former Ghana U20 star netted the only goal of the fixture in the 10th minute at the Stade du Hainaut connecting a corner from Aly Abeid.

Ntim had the highest rating in the match with 8.8 having lasted the entire duration.

Since gaining promotion to the Valenciennes first team in 2016, this goal is his very first in league matches.

Ligue 1 outfit Montpellier HSC have been linked with a move for the versatile Ghanaian and ready to swoop for him this summer.
