Mubarak Wakaso has lost his four-month old baby boy.

Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has opened up to his ordeal leading to the tragic death of his four-month baby boy.

The Rubin Kazan player was hit with the painful death of his baby last Thursday in his hometown in Tamale.

Wakaso had arrived in his country with his family for holidays due to the winter break in Russia.

The 23-year-old however had to endure the painful agony of burying his four-month baby who died of a brief illness.

The cause of death however remains unknown as the ex Espanyol man explained the circumstances leading to the death of his child.

“Myself and my family came to Ghana from Spain about two weeks but then my baby fell ill,” he narrated to Accra-based Asempa FM.

“His body was warm and he was running and vomiting so we took him to the hospital where after check up we were told there was nothing wrong.

“Later on there was a light improvement in his condition and I was playing with him and all that but then the condition deteriorated.

“So I contacted my mother to help me take the baby to hospital but on our way I realized the baby was no more alive.”

Several players around the world including Black Stars players have sent their messages of condolence to Wakaso and his family during this difficult period.

The Ghana international has been granted compassionate leave by his club who have started training for the resumption of the league.

Omly in Ghana. A baby running and vomiting and you say there is nothing wrong with him, wish this was in American, this would have a big law suit.

Junk medicine at best. This baby most likely died from septic or hypovolumic shock. child should have been placed on IV fluids and a broad spectrum antibiotic and I am sure he would have been survived. I doubt they even took an accurate body temperature. this is sad indeed. condolences to him
