Premier League Board Chairman,  Alhaji MND Jawula has advised against the use of strict measures in getting clubs to follow the Ghana FA Club Licensing Board rules.

The Ghana FA Club licensing Board were keen at ensuring all the Premier League met the club licensing rules ahead of the start of the 2019/20 season.

The Board led by Dr.Kwame Baah-Nuakoh went round inspecting various facilities of the club. According to the Secretary of the Board, only International Allies FC who were able to meet all the requirements of the board before the start of the league.

Alhaji MND Jawula, who was formerly the Chairman of the Ghana Football Association in an interview with 'Beyond The Pitch' on GTV sports+ said pushing the rules too much may deter people from the game as they invest with their own incomes.

"I have been of the view that if we push too hard, we shall destroy football. This is because Ghana is not lucky, we don't have sponsorships as other countries have."

"In most of these countries, it's about sponsorships, you get a lot of companies who come on board and pay players to the extent that they will be comfortable but in Ghana people don't have that much and it seems the concept of investing in football is not in the books of the companies."

"So if we want to get the best stadia, the best salary structure for players, it will take some time and if you insist on it, you are not likely to get people who will not show interest in football again because people use their own income to invest in football." he told 'Beyond The Pitch'.
