England are a genuine Euro2016 threat suggests Germany boss Low

Germany national team coach Joachim Low has talked up England's chances at this summer's European Championships.

Reigning World Champions Die Mannschaft are preparing for Friday's visit of the Three Lions and Low is of the belief that Roy Hodgson's men are one of the top few chances to salute at Euro2016 in France.

Germany also take on Italy in a friendly next week and is expecting tough challenges from both the English and the Azzurri.

"This will be a taste of what we can expect at the Euros," Low told the press.

"The opponents [England and Italy] are both interesting and are two of the favourites to win the European Championship. It will be a good test.

"The battle for places in the squad is seriously beginning now, there are still eight weeks until the end of the season.

"We have selected a large squad in order to speak with the players about what we expect. We are looking at their form and fitness as a whole."
