Goalkeeper Jojo Wallocott has been included in the provisional squad named by Milovan Rajevac for next month's World Cup qualifiers.

Wallocott, who plays for English fourth-tier club Swindon Town, has been handed debut call-up to the senior national team, Black Stars.

The 25-year-old is among four goalkeepers invited by coach Rajevac for the doubleheader against Zimbabwe.

His inclusion comes as a surprise because there is little or no knowledge about Wallocott who was born in Bristol.

It appears he is the latest beneficiary of the Ghana Football Association's scouting of Ghanaian footballers born abroad.

Wallocott is the first choice goalkeeper at Swindon Town and has made nine appearances this season, keeping four clean sheets.

The Black Stars will take on the Warriors on Saturday, October 12 at the Cape Coast stadium on matchday three of the qualifiers before travelling to Harare three days later for the reverse fixture.
