Hasaacas striker Eric Bekoe has ruled out celebrating should he score against his former side Asante Kotoko in Friday’s Ghana Premier League match.

The 29-year-old has a lot of respect for the club where he earned his legendary status by scoring 17 goals to hand them the league title and personally win the goal king.

Bekoe will be playing against his former side for the first time since 2009 when he left for Egypt to play for Petrojet.

“I know I will surely score but, as for jubilation, I have decided against that,” Bekoe told Class FM.

“Kotoko supporters have played a very vital role in my career and all the success that I have chalked in football are largely because of their support.

“Wherever I've been given an opportunity to talk, I shower praise on them. Therefore, I am also going to do something to show my love for them and my love for the club too.”

Bekoe has scored three goals in four matches and remains second on the scorers chart.
