Midfielder Ernestina Abambila made her Polish Ekstraliga debut on Saturday as KKPK Medyk Konin drew 1-1 at home with Katowice on the opening day of competition.

The Ghana international played the entire duration of the match at home as her side threw away an early lead to split points.

Abambila signed a short term deal with the four-time league winners last Tuesday.

This was after the expiration of her contract with Spanish side Sporting Club Huelva

She joined Huelva in January 2020 and went ahead to make only three appearances for them in the season.

Abambila has so much experience having played for FC Minsk in Belarus where she participated in the UEFA Women's Champions League.

She has also had stints with Aris Thessaloniki in Greece and Assi IF in Sweden.
