Ghana midfielder Michael Essien admits he has surprised himself with his goals for Chelsea this season.
In his blog for chelseafc.com, Essien wrote: "I scored two headers against West Ham recently and normally you will see my ââ¬Ësupermanââ¬â¢ celebrations but I was so surprised and impressed with my own headers that I spun away after the second one touching my forehead.
"That night and the next day I watched every programme where they were showing the goals and kept boasting to my family how I hang in the air like Michael Jordan in his ââ¬Ëyou too can flyââ¬â¢ days. I even started calling myself ââ¬Ëheadmasterââ¬â¢.
"Since then I havenââ¬â¢t scored again and now all the boasting is coming back to haunt me with my family laughing at me any time I miss a goal.
"I have had to remind them that it is a team game and itââ¬â¢s all about Chelsea winning and not just Michael Essien scoring goals."
