The Blues’ faced a difficult season, failing to show any impressive results throughout the year.
Under the guidance of interim coach Frank Lampard, the club played their final game of the Premier League season on Sunday, recording a 1 – 1 draw with Newcastle United.
Fernandez, who made a move to Stamford Bridge during the January transfer window, took to Twitter to share his thoughts, writing:
“I want to thank all the fans for their support all these months at Stamford Bridge and everywhere we played away.
“It was not the season that we wanted and that the club deserves, now it’s time to recharge the batteries and come back better to return all your love. See you the next season Chelsea fans, we are together.”
