The Magpies searching for a much-needed win
With just seven wins from 29 matches all season in the Premier League, Newcastle have found themselves in danger of relegation. They have nine matches left to play and Boss Steve Bruce knows they can be his last matches with the club no matter the outcome at the end of the season.
Drawing three and losing three in their last six matches hasn’t helped the Magpies to cruise towards safety as Steve Bruce’s team suffer in front of their opponents’ goal scoring just three goals. From a possible 18 points, Newcastle grabbed just three points in this run.
Apart from their terrible form, Steve Bruce has many injury worries with their top scorer Callum Wilson, Allan Saint-Maximin, Fabian Schar, and Isaac Hayden, who are all unavailable.
Tottenham chasing a European spot
After a bit of a slump where Tottenham were knocked out of the UEFA Europa League by D.Zagreb and prior to that having lost the London derby against their city rivals Arsenal, Jose Mourinho’s team entered the international break with a crucial win away to Aston Villa.
Spurs are sixth, one point behind West Ham and three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea. Their aim is to finish at least in the top five and for that Mourinho needs to keep pushing his players for a win here in Newcastle to mount the pressure on West Ham.
Despite the disappointment of the Europa League exit Spurs are on good form in the Premier League as they have won four of their last five matches. Mourinho saw his team share dominance in their last match against Aston Villa, but could still grab the whole three points.
Key Stats

Newcastle vs Tottenham Prediction
Tottenham are clear favorites to win this with the bookies. We are seeing so many surprising results recently when teams threatened to be relegated are doing their best to get points off teams in the top half of the table.
In their last nine matches, Newcastle beat Everton and Southampton and drew with Aston Villa and Wolves all of which were in higher positions. We sense a Newcastle surge here and we think Steve Bruce’s men might get a point in this one.
