EURO 2016 - Wales 1-0 Northern Ireland - Full-time report

After a tough first half, Wales succeed in reaching an historical qualification to Euro 2016's quarter-finals.

Northern Ireland had the first choice with Dallas but was well claimed by Wales keeper Hennessey.

Gareth Bale gave his first sign of threat with a ball into the box for Aaron Ramsey, but the ball goes through to McGovern in the Northern Ireland goal.

Then Wales had a great chance with the Arsenal midfielder who scored but was caught offside: still a clean sheet between the two sides.

Ward tried to score with a powerful shoot but Hennessey is ready to scramble the ball over the bar with the second great save of the game.

Northern Ireland started better the second half but Wales had produced the first goal attempt: 

A super cross from Ramsey found Vokes but the striker header went three yards wide. 

Then Gareth Bale went close to scoring the opener with a brilliant free-kick which from outside the penalty area but it was scrambled by McGovern.

Wales took the lead with 14 minutes still to play: Real Madrid star Bale crossed a fantastic ball into the box and Gareth McAuley was unlucky touching the ball and scoring an own goal with Hal Robson-Kanu anticipating him. 

The final score is 1-0, Wales got an historic qualification to Euro 2016 Quarter Finals.
