Former Black Stars midfielder Anthony Annan played a bit-part role in HJK Helsinki’s 1-1 draw at Bulgarian side PFK Beroe in the Europa League second qualifying round first leg tie.

The 29-year-old was introduced after 81 minutes to replace Sierra Leonean Mohamed Kamara.

Compatriot Richard Gadze was an unused substitute in the away match.

Annan, who joined the Finnish side this season, was struggled for game.

He has made only one appearance for HJK in the league as the capital club lead the table after 16 matches.
