Carlo Ancelotti could be lining up another remarkable signing for Everton in the January transfer window.

That's according to Italian publication CalcioMercato, who say the Toffess boss wants to swoop for the out of favour Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira.

The 33-year-old Khedira is said to favour a move to the Premier League and the publication says he has informed his agent to look for a suitor in England.

Ancelotti, who has worked hard at reshaping Everton's midfield in his time at Goodison Park, is said to value the experience that we would add to his rebuild. He worked with Khedira during his time at Real Madrid, so knows what the midfielder can bring.

Khedira was a member of Germany's World Cup winning side in 2014 but was injured for the final itself.

The 77-cap Germany man has fallen by the wayside in Andrea Pirlo's ruthless restructuring at Juventus and the CalcioMercato add that Pirlo has told him he is free to leave.

Indeed, Khedira has not featured once for Juventus so far in the 2020-21 campaign and is not expected to between now and the January window open.

The Italian publication say that he has been training regularly with the Juventus squad and is in good shape but Pirlo does not seem him as a part of his plans.

Should Everton make a move, Ancelotti will have to be patient in building his match sharpness.

Khedira has been at Juventus since 2015 and before that, was at Real Madrid.

The Spanish giants signed him from Stuttgart in 2010 after he impressed in Germany's World Cup campaign in South Africa.
