Everton predicted lineup vs West Ham - Premier League

Published on: 15 October 2021

Everton's injury list remains fairly extensive heading into Sunday's Premier League clash with West Ham at Goodison Park.

The Toffees have got off to a good start under Rafa Benitez, winning four and drawing two of their first seven games to sit fifth on 14 points, but life hasn't been straightforward for the veteran Spaniard.

He's been missing a number of key personnel for weeks, including Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison, and that unfortunately isn't going to change for the visit of David Moyes to his old stomping ground.

Still, Everton may feel they have enough about them to take down West Ham, who won the corresponding fixture last season 1-0 thanks through Tomas Soucek's goal.

Here's who Benitez could call upon come kick-off.

Everton predicted lineup vs West Ham - Premier League

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Jordan Pickford (GK) - Everton and England's number one, Pickford's place is not in doubt when he's fit.

Seamus Coleman (RB) - The Toffees' skipper has been sidelined through injury but could reclaim his place on the right side of a back four.

Ben Godfrey (CB) - Yerry Mina is one of a number of South American players returning late from international duty, and that could allow Godfrey to move inside.

Michael Keane (CB) - One of Everton's more reliable performers this season.

Lucas Digne (LB) - Picked up a muscle injury on international duty with France but Digne's participation in training suggests he's ready to go.

2. Midfielders

Andros Townsend (RM) - Townsend is in the form of his life and, fortunately, is also in this writer's FPL draft team.

Allan (CM) - The midfield enforcer loves a crunching tackle and is so effective at breaking up play.

Abdoulaye Doucoure (CM) - Looks reborn under Benitez and is a real goal threat now he's operating in a box-to-box capacity.

Alex Iwobi (LM) - A regular run in the side is all Iwobi cares about, though it would be nice to identify what his best position really is.

3. Forwards

Demarai Gray (SS) - Expect Gray to drift here, there and everywhere over the course of the 90 minutes. Has been brilliant so far and loves taking defenders on.

Salomon Rondon (ST) - The continued absence of Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison means it's another shot up front for Benitez favourite Rondon.
