Bechem United playmaker Kofi Tompuo has revealed that every player in the team was determined to win against Hearts of Oak in their recent league encounter.
Tompuo scored the only goal in the 52nd minute, securing a 1-0 victory for Bechem United at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
Tompuo praised his teammates' mentality, saying: "Hearts of Oak is a big team and everyone watches you when you face them, and it comes with expectations too. Already, every member of the team was determined to win the match and once we get into that mood at home, we always win."
Tompuo also criticised Hearts of Oak's game plan, stating: "Their plan was to hit long balls at every opportunity. Conversely, we came to possess the ball, be expressive and fluid. That is because our midfielders are very comfortable with the ball and can retain possession for long spells."
The win marked Bechem United's ninth victory of the season, with the team remaining unbeaten at home.
They have amassed 29 out of their 36 points from their home games and currently sit in fourth place on the league table, just four points behind leaders Bibiani Gold Stars.
