Bechem United playmaker Kofi Tompuo has acknowledged the high stakes involved when facing Hearts of Oak, following their 1-0 victory over the Accra-based side.
Tompuo scored the winning goal in the 52nd minute, securing three crucial points for Bechem United at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
Tompuo recognised the significance of playing against a big team like Hearts of Oak, saying: "Hearts of Oak is a big team and everyone watches you when you face them, and it comes with expectations too."
He also praised his teammates' determination, stating: "Already, every member of the team was determined to win the match and once we get into that mood at home, we always win."
Tompuo's goal was a testament to Bechem United's possession-based approach, which proved to be effective against Hearts of Oak's long-ball strategy.
The win propelled Bechem United to fourth place in the league table, just four points behind leaders Bibiani Gold Stars.
