Former Asante Kotoko forward Charles Taylor has called on the club to step up preparations ahead of their upcoming CAF Confederation Cup clash against Kariobangi Sharks.

The Porcupine Warriors, who are Ghana’s sole representative in this season’s CAF inter-club competition, defeated the Black Meteors 3-0 in a friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

But according to Taylor, the club must double their preparations if they harbour any hope of making an impact in the competition.

"What needs to be told, is Asante Kotoko SC should not be over exuberant after this win because its a different game in contention when it comes to Africa".

"So Kotoko SC players have to back up their training here in Ghana when is due to play Kariobangi Sharks they find their form", he said.

Kotoko SC on December 15 will face Kenyan side Kariobangi Sharks in Kenya and follow up a return leg in Kumasi on the 23rd December.
