Ex-Ghana striker Emmanuel Clottey has begun his coaching career at third-tier side Cheetah FC at age 34.

Clottey has joined the coaching staff of the Kasoa-based side headed by former Kotoko and WAFA assistant coach Akakpo Patron.

He was spotted at the training ground of the Predators early this week.

He featured for Berekum Chelsea last season but was offloaded at the end of the campaign.

Clottey won the Ghana Premier League goal king in 2007 before leaving to Austria where he had an unsuccessful spell.

In 2010, he joined Berekum Chelsea and helped them to win the Ghana Premier League in 2011.

The following year, he banged in 12 goals to help the Berekum-based side reach the CAF Champions League group stage.

His exploits in the continent's flagship inter-clubs competition attracted Tunisian club Espérance to sign him for an estimated transfer fee of US$ 1.5 million.
