Ghana coach Avram Grant plans to work with a pool of 35 players as he maps out strategies to secure the country’s fourth successive World Cup berth.

The 60-year-old wants to build an all-conquering side with a sizable number of 35 players ahead of the group stage qualifiers.

The Black Stars will be heavily involved on all fronts next year with the Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifiers top of the agenda.

And the Israeli is already mapping out key strategies to achieve his set targets.

‘As you see now we are trying to build the squad. I’m very happy that the players I picked before Africa proved themselves. But I want that we would have a big squad,’ he told Accra-based Metro FM

‘In my head, like 35 players, that I have seen them and I know everything about them… The first thing is they will be able to prove themselves in the Black Stars.

‘We need a big squad but I need that the squad will be quality and I need one more with players that can deliver and add talents from the CHAN [team], the Under-23 and the Under-20.

The former Chelsea coach is marking a year in charge of the West Africans with a silver-medal feat at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations being the highlight of his modest achievements so far.
