Ex-Ghana captain Stephen Appiah has confirmed starting his coaching badges in England.

The former Juventus player played for Serbian side FK Vojvodina last season and impressed.

The 31-year-old has insisted on his desire to exchange his boots for the suits when he hangs up his boot.

Appiah announced he has begun getting tuition from the classroom as he aspires to become a coach.

"Yes, I have started [taking up my coaching badges]. I am doing my training in England," Appiah said.

Appiah captained Ghana on their debut FIFA World Cup finals appearance in Germany 2006.

He quit international football after the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa where he played a bit-part role.
