Ex-Ghana coach Rajevac lined up for Egypt job

Former Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac is in contention for the vacant Egypt job, according to Egypt FA chairman Samir Zaher.

The Serb was sacked by 2022 Fifa World Cup hosts Qatar two weeks ago following two disappointing defeats against Asian minnows India and Vietnam.

"Rajevac is expected to visit Cairo in the next few weeks and then we should meet with him to learn about his views for the job,'' Zaher told FilGoal.com.

Rajevac joins a three-man shortlist comprising Bob Bradley, Francisco Maturana and Zoran Filipovic.

The 57-year-old led Ghana to the final of the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola, where they lost to Egypt.

He also guided the Black Stars to the quarter-finals of the 2010 Fifa World Cup finals in South Africa.
