Retired Ghana international defender Frimpong Manso has heaped praise on center-back Isaac Vorsah for bringing stability to the Ghana defence in the 1-0 win over Mali.

The Red Bull Salzburg man was brought in to replace Jerry Akaminko in central who failed to impress in central defence in Ghana's Group B opener against DR Congo.

Vorsah was rated one of the best performers on the evening as the Black Stars recorded their first victory of the 2013 Nations Cup finals.

Manso, a member of the 1992 Nations Cup silver medal winning squad, is full of praise for the former TSG Hoffenheim defender.

"Vorsah's introduction in defence was very good and it brought some stability into the middle. He was very very good in the game," he told Accra-based Happy FM.
