Ex-Ghana president Rawlings visits Black Stars in Kenya

Ex-Ghana president J.J. Rawlings today visited the Black Stars in Nairobi to inspire them for the weekend's 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying against Congo.

The senior team are preparing in Nairobi ahead of Sunday's game in Brazzaville.

The former Ghanaian leader took time off his schedule in Nairobi to speak to the team as he also wished them good luck against Congo.

Dr. Rawlings visited the team at their training at Nairobi's Kasarani Stadium.

He gave them some tips on how to score penalties to win matches.

Rawlings, who is the African Union special envoy to Somalia, said he was disturbed by the way Ghana bowed out of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africaâ„¢ after being eliminated on penalties by Uruguay in the quarter-finals.
