Ex-Ghana international Kim Grant wants the FA to close the chapter on Kevin-Prince Boateng and the Ayew brothers claiming it will be biggest mistake of the century if they accept them back into the Black Stars.
The three players have called time on their international careers for varied reasons.
Boateng shocked the West African Nation when he quit the Black Stars in 2011 after claiming combining both international and club duties was taken a serious toll on his heath.
Andre Ayew also resigned from the national team following disagreements with the Ghanaian FA while his brother Jordan wants to be guaranteed constant playing time with the Black Stars.
The Ghana FA has not hidden their pursuant of the three players to rescind their decision but the former Charlton Athletic striker believes such moves could prove catastrophic in the collective good of the national team.
“Everyday its either Kelvin or Ayew brothers and so much hullabaloo about that issue". Grant told Sunyani-based Storm FM
"I can’t see the reason why footballers will seek to move in and out the national team when they will and yet the FA still pursues them for months and years.
"How can a certain few footballers hold a nation with such enormous footballing talents like Ghana at ransom?"
"So do we seem to imply that without Kevin and whoever that we still pursuing, we cannot win a trophy or qualify to the world cup with what we already have and who might be joining soon".
"Seriously it's a joke and we should focus on the other players and forget about these one.
"If it gets to the stage when people will just retire because they have petty issues, then we are in a serious problem.
"These things can only happen in a country when the authorities don't see the need to develop talents but to rely on a very few persons for so long.
"The fact is, we should always concentrate on the many talents we have than to follow a few who have decided to do what they want and return whenever they like".
Boateng who plays for Italian giants AC Milan is believed to be nurturing an ambition of staging a return to the National team.
He has been a key follower of Black Stars games since he called time on his international career.
He showed fresh desire to return to the national team by making frantic effort to watch the Black Stars 2014 World Cup qualifier against Sudan on March 24.
The Ayew brothers have also insisted they have not turned their back on their nation team and will make a return at the appropriate time.
Grant who now serve as a scout for English premier league side West Brom was capped 9 times by Ghana.
