Ex-Ghana youth striker Osei Barnes is keeping his head afloat in Cyprus at top-flight side Nea Salamina.

The 26-year-old joined last summer and has since scored three league goals in 25 appearances.

He has been handed starting roles in all his matches and that has helped build his confidence level.

Barnes joined from Portuguese second-tier Académica where he scored two goals in 22 matches.

He moved to Europe in 2013 where he signed for Pacos de Ferreira and featured in the Portuguese top-flight before loan spells at União Madeira and Arouca.
