Former Hearts of Oak forward Kofi Kordzi says he is hoping to score more goals to propel his side to win trophies in the ongoing season.

Kordzi completed his move to Qatari based side Muaither SC in the just-ended transfer window from Ghana Premier League side Hearts of Oak.

The deal was reported to be worth $150,000.

The bulky striker passed his medicals and is waiting to make his debut for the second division side against Al Shahania on October 29, 2020.

Speaking in an interview with Happy FM after completing his move to the side and his target for the season, he said,

“I was able to pass my medical successfully and also underwent the mandatory quarantine for two weeks”.

“My target is to score more goals for the club in the ongoing season and I will need the support and prayers from everyone back home”

“The players have shown me, love, since I got here and the reception has been wonderful”

He added: “The club’s facilities are one of the best and you will be in the mood to play football if you see their pitch”

Kofi Kordzi is hoping to make his debut for the Qatari side in their second league game.

Kofi Kordzi scored 6 goals in 14 games to become the Hearts of Oak’s top scorer during the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season which was truncated amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
