Defender Daniel Acquah is close to sealing a move to Premier League champions, Berekum Chelsea.

The ex Asante Kotoko player says the attraction of playing in the Caf Champions League was too huge an offer to refuse despite having got other deals even with overseas countries.

“After having stints in Egypt I have decided to return to Ghana and thankfully Chelsea came along,” he told Kumasi-based Angel FM.

“Negotiations are about 90% complete and the fact that Chelsea is going to play in the Champions League was a huge attraction even though there were other options.”

Acquah went on to add: “I am the same old player everyone knows and even better now so I only urge that supporters remain calm and resolute for us to achieve the required results.”
