GHANA and Cameroon fans could hardly have looked more excited as their teams aimed to book their places in the final of the 2017 African Cup of Nations.

There were fans were covered in flags, masks, and a decorating store's worth of paint.

Ghana are looking to go one better after reaching the final two years ago and losing to Ivory Coast.

They came through a group with Egypt, Uganda and Mali before beating DR Congo in the quarter-final.

But Cameroon stand in their way and have shown steely resolve throughout the tournament.

In the last match of the group stage they claimed the 0-0 draw needed to knock hosts Gabon out and send one of the tournament's star players, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, back to Dortmund early.

The final will be played at 7pm on Sunday with Egypt awaiting tonight's victors after 44-year-old goalkeeper Essam el-Hadary helped them to a shootout win over Burkina Faso last night.
