Ghana goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey may have to cancel his pre-World Cup training with the Black Stars to return to his Norwegian club Stromsgodset for Saturday's tough match against giants Rosenborg, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

Stromsgodset are facing in goalkeeping crisis since the departure of the Ghana goalkeeper and wants to recall him quickly ahead of this weekend’s Norwegian Premier League showdown against Rosenborg.

The 26-year-old was in post for the champions when they hammered Sarpsborg 08 4-1 last Friday but they lost to Stabæk 2-1 during his absence on Tuesday.

Manager Ronny Deila is keen to have the Ghanaian international back in his team ahead of Saturday’s big game at home to giants Rosenborg.

He claimed the Ghana FA has agreed to release the shot-stopper and could be on the next available flight back to the Marienlyst Stadion.

“We have a hope of getting Adam here to fight against Rosenborg.  Adam wants to help,  so we hope he will be here,” he told Norwegian TV 2.

“Therefore thumbs up to the Ghanaian Association. It's just a matter of getting him here quickly for Saturday’s top game.

“Over time, it is not a good situation when Adam is gone. It’s a shame we are being punished because we have players at the World Cup.”

Kwarasey has been preparing with the Black Stars in his native country ahead of the 2014 World Cup but could cancel his pre-World Cup training to help his club side.

He has been in phenomenal shape for the side since he joined in 2007 and captained them to win the title last season.

However, Stromsgodset fear they could lose the title in the absence of the former VÃ¥lerenga glovesman and quickly wants him to abandon his international duty to play in the crucial game against Rosenborg.

It is however unclear if  Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah will sanction the move to have his top goalkeeper abandon national team training, just two days before they fly out to Holland to intensify preparations.

Stromsgodset trail leaders Molde by five points after only 10 games.

So why would we still need Fatau who is on the bench in South Africa as No.1 for Black Stars when a top team in Sweden can't do without Kwarasey?

Well let him go because being in the post for the game is still training right,, thats even better, thats 90mins of training for him when he goes so thats the same as training with the blackstars, no big deal.

he is number 2 & this will land him in number 3 lets face it. the number 1 position was handed to him on a silver platter by pinfully dropping the incomparable kingson. later events made ghana to go for an ignored fatau & he pulled some saves in afcon 2013. in reality what kwarasey has over fatau is good looks & his humble demeanor; poster boy's image and somehow we wish we have him as an agile goalkeeper. i suggest to fatau to desist from those animalistic posing for the camera to ameliorate his ugly looks. if stephen adams should come to the party during training then the battle will be between him and fatau.

I do not like the idea but it is another form of training for him that can be helpful in Brazil. He might lose the #1 spot though.

The only training a goal keeper needs is to be active in the post.

The GFA should say no and Kwaresey if he cares for his future should not tolerate such an idea. What was his manager expecting when they let him off. It's almost 8 hrs journey to Norway from Ghana.lf Kwaresey wants to put his body to Such strenuous punishment it's up to him. He should know he needs all the rest possible. AA should be the one to say no. Dauda needs needs competitive match sharpness and the world cup is too costly for such experiment. Kwaresey is the only sure bet. I don't actually believe the story anyway.

Kwarassay doesn't lack confidence! No professional soccer player will be given the responsibility of captaincy in his club if he lacks confidence! The problem between Kwarassay and the Ghana defenders is that they keep communicating in Twi which Kwarassay doesn't understand! It is the duty of the coach and the players to insist on a language that all understand-English! Otherwise we will continue to have problems with integrating foreign-born Ghanaian players into the squad-and the number is increasing!

What is this foolishness? They must learn to respect the player and the GFA, once the player is on international duty.why must they have to shuttle him between Ghana and Norway just for a match. They must learn to do with what they have and forget abt the "one match" nonsense. So the player can concentrate on winning his rightful place in the national team..

Say that again! Appiah seems to be obsessed with Twi, and he tries to make it the standard language in the team. He should know that there are foreign-born players like Kwarasey, Schlupp, Andre, Jordan, Prince etc who don't speak that language!

I pray earnestly that he maintains his form when playing for the stars. May I think it is not ordinary that he concedes some cheap goals when in post for the Stars? Hmmmmmmm! Juju?#justasking.

Those animalistic posing by Fatau scared away a lot of would be teams. They thought he will come and eat them alive so they stayed away. If he does some plastic surgery, he might just get a chance with an European team.
