Berekum Cheslea striker Bismark Idan has signed a three-year contract with Turkish second-tier side Goztepe for an undisclosed fee, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 2009/2010 Ghana Premier League joint top scorer impressed on trial and put pen-to-paper on Friday.

Earlier, GHANAsoccernet understood the player had agreed a five-year deal for 600,000 Euros.

Idan, who will be playing for the first time in Europe, said:"I am very happy to be at Goztepe.  I joined camp and my teammates and coaches have been very nice. I look forward to play for the club."

Goztepe's Director of Football Ali Gultiken extolled the qualities of their new signing

"He can play as a centre-forward, play on the wings very quickly, rapidly, head with good timing, good use with his left foot," he said.

"Besides these properties, he has scored close to 30 goals scored in the last two seasons.

"We believe that he will be an important contribution towards that aim to qualify to the Super League," he added.

Idan was a member of Ghana's home-based side which played at this year’s CHAN tournament.
