EXCLUSIVE: Derek Boateng struggles with fitness at Rayo Vallecano, given permission to sort out 'personal issues'

Ghana midfielder Derek Boateng has been given permission by Rayo Vallecano to sort out ‘personal issues’ following concerns over his fitness, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

Boateng, 31, joined the Spanish after leaving English side Fulham after just a year.

The well-travelled man has not found his place in the current Vallecano squad and has reportedly not yet convinced manager Paco Jemez of his qualities.
