Ghana international Mohammed Kudus is yet to start work at his new club, Ajax due to delay in his work permit, Ghanasoccernet.com can exclusively report.

Dutch authorities are yet to clear the talented attacker to start work following his move from FC Nordsjælland last month.

Kudus was absent when the club started the third and last block of preparation for the new season on Saturday.

The 19-year-old was not the only player as goalkeeper Andre Onana and captain Dusan Tadic were also missing.

"Onana has an ankle injury," said trainer Erik ten Hag after the practice session.

"Tadic has to do some medical tests and Kudus has to prepare the last papers before coming to the Netherlands."

Kudus joined Ajax in July, signing a five-year contract after an excellent season which saw him emerge as the most valuable player in the Danish top-flight.

The Dutch champions paid 9 million euros plus bonuses and add-ons, making Kudus the most expensive teenager in the history of Ghana football.
