Midfielder Emmanuel Boateng has signed a new one-year deal with MLS side LA Galaxy, GHANASoccernet.com understands.
Boateng’s initial two-year contract run out at the end of the 2018 and is reported to have reached a deal with the club this week.
The former Right to Dream Academy player will be rotating with Chris Pontius-another out-of-contract player who is expected to return in 2019-at left or right wing.
Last season, Boateng scored two goals in 27 games, including 12 starts and provided five assists.
The 24-year-old’s recovery and attacking speed that unnerves defenses make him a key figure for the Los Angeles-based side.
He previously played for Swedish side Helsingborgs IF.
