Former Asante Kotoko defender Awudu Nafiu has completed a move to Ethiopian Premier League side Dire Dawa City SC, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively confirm.
The experienced centre back sealed the transfer on Tuesday after signing a one-year renewable contract after passing medical.
Nafiu is expected to strengthen Dire Dawa's defence in the upcoming season as they club's aim at a top four finish.
Dire Dawa finished at the 10th position on the final league standings in the Ethiopian top division last season.
The 32-year-old signed for Dire Dawa on a free transfer after leaving Equatoguinean side Futuro Kings where he joined in January 2019.
Nafiu moved to Equatorial Guinea after a two-year stint with Kotoko.
He has previously played for AshantiGold SC, Berekum Chelsea, King Faisal Babes all in Ghana and Azam FC in Tanzania.
