EXCLUSIVE: Former Hearts of Oak midfielder Emmanuel Saban Laryea signs for Defence Force in Ethiopia

Former Hearts of Oak player Emmanuel Saban Laryea has completed a move to Ethiopia Defence Force SC on a short-term deal, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

Laryea sealed the transfer to the Ethiopian Premier League on Monday where he signed a one-year contract after passing medical.

The 25-year-old became a free agent after leaving Japanese club Ococias Kyoto in February 2021 following the expiration of his contract.

Laryea moved to Japan in February 2019 after cutting ties with Ethiopian side Dire Dawa City when his contract elapsed.

The hardworking enforcer left Hearts of Oak in November 2017 after rejecting an extension when his contract finished.

In the 2019/2020 season, Laryea made 24 appearances for Ococias in all competitions having scored twice and assisted twice in process.
