EXCLUSIVE: Ghana defender John Boye handed contract extension offer at FC Metz

Experienced Ghana defender John Boye has been handed a new contract extension offer at Ligue I outfit FC Metz, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively report. 

Boye, 34, has been rewarded the new offer following his impressive performances for the Maroons this season.

The FC Metz captain has from now till June 30th to decide whether to extend his stay or move on for a new adventure.

"He must make his choice before June 30. He's still showing good things at 34, he's a player we need. He can be part of the project, a proposal has been made to him. It has its place with us," said Metz manager Frederic Antonetti ahead of the game against Dijon on Sunday.

John Boye has been a mainstay in the team this season, featuring in 31 Ligue 1 games, scoring a goal and providing two assists.

The Ghana international returned to France in 2018 after three season in Turkey with Sivasspor.

Boye previously played for Stade Rennais in France.
