EXCLUSIVE: Ghana forward Joel Fameyeh joins Russian club Rubin Kazan

Ghana forward Joel Fameyeh has joined Russian outfit Rubin Kazan in the summer transfer window, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively report.

The Black Stars forward signed a three-year deal with the relegated side from newly promoted Russian club FC Orenburg.

The former Asokwa Deportivo star played a key role as Orenburg secured promotion through playoffs, but decided to not extend his stay.

His contract with Orenburg ends on June 30. He joined Kazan on a free transfer.

Fameyeh is expected to help Rubin Kazan make a quick return to the topflight following his experience in the second tier.

Last season, Fameyeh netted 15 goals and provided six assist at Orenburg.

He has played six times for the Ghana national team.
