Ghana midfielder Rabiu Mohammed has agreed a one-year deal with Russian top-tier side FC Tambov, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively confirm.

Ghana's leading football portal, GHANASoccernet.com exclusively reported earlier this week that Mohammed is joining the Mordovia Arena outfit.

The 30-year-old midfielder has finally concluded talks with the club and both parties have agreed a one-year renewable contract.

Under the terms of the agreement, the club will be able to automatically renew the contract for another season.

The former Liberty Professionals player will append his signature on the deal when he arrives in Russia as he is currently on holidays in his native Ghana. The club have already secured a work visa for him.

He will however undergo a mandatory medical test before officially becoming a bonafide property of the Wolves.

FC Tambov would become the player's fourth club in the Russian Premier League having represented Kuban Krasnodar, Anzhi Makhachkala and Krylia Sovetov.

Mohammed will join Sergei Pervushin's men as a free-agent after his contract with French Ligue 2 side Paris FC came to an end last season.

He made 14 appearances and netted 1 goal for Paris FC before the campaign was truncated due to the Coronavirus crisis.

Mohammed has amassed 31 caps for the Ghana Black Stars.
