Ghanaian centre-back Maxwell Gyamfi has completed a move to newly-promoted German Bundesliga 2 side SV Hamburg, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively confirm.

Gyamfi put pen to paper on a two-year deal to join the Dinosaurs ahead of the forthcoming season.

The 20-year-old budding guardsman joins Daniel Thioune's men as a free-agent after failing to extend his contract at VfL Bochum.

The pacy defender will play for the side's U21 in the regional league in the coming campaign.

He was a regular for VfL Bochum's second team last term, making 19 appearances before the campaign was halted due to the coronavirus crisis.

Gyamfi, who was born to Ghanaian parents in Dortmund, is yet to play for any of the German national teams.

He is eligible to represent West African giants Ghana.
