EXCLUSIVE: Ghanaian left-back Richard Ofori joins Cypriot club Nea Salamina

Ghanaian defender Ricahrd Ofori has joined Cypriot side Nea Salamina ahead of the 2022/23 season, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively report. 

The 29-year-old signed a two-year-deal with the newly promoted side after leaving Portuguese outfit Vizela at the end of last season.

"The Board of Directors of NEA SALAMINA FAMAGUSTA informs that it has reached an agreement in principle with the 29-year-old Ghanaian left winger Richard Ofori. The footballer has played for a number of years in the Portuguese league and his last team was FC Vizela, where he recorded 30 appearances," wrote the club on their official website.

"We welcome Richard to the big family of NEA SALAMINA Famagusta and wish him many successes with the red and white jersey!."

Ofori made 56 appearances for Vizela in two season, helping them gain promotion before they sustained their topflight status last term.

The former Ghana U20 star joined Vizela from Fafe. He previously played for Coimbra, Beira Mar and Covilha in Portugal.
