EXCLUSIVE: Ghanaian midfielder Bennard Kumordzi signs for Belgian side Kabouters Opglabbeek.

Ghanaian midfielder Bennard Kumordzi has signed for Belgium's lower-tier side  Kabouters Opglabbeek.

Kumordzi was banned for four months for taking a banned substance in the 2017-2018 season.

The midfielder was banned for four months but his return to KV Kortrijk was not greeted well and was sacked from the club.

"KV Kortrijk has now also decided that Kumordzi is no longer welcome at the club.  He can not play official matches for the club and KVK has decided not to compete in the friendly matches. He is no longer welcome at the training sessions", a statement from the club read.

The 36-year-old has not played competitive football in the last three years after his doping ban.

The former Genk midfielder has joined  Kabouters Opglabbeek side to revive his career in the ongoing campaign.
