EXCLUSIVE: Ghanaian striker John Antwi nearing Al Ittihad switch

Pyramids striker John Antwi is closing in on a move to Alexandria-based Al Ittihad, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively report. 

Al Ittihad coach Brigadier General Hossam Hassan has sanctioned the signing of the prolific 28-year-old.

Antwi is a household name in North Africa after turning out for Ismaily, Al Shabab, giants Al Ahly SC and back-to-back at Misr El-Makasa.

The Ghanaian joined Pyramids FC from Misr El-Makasa in 2019.

Antwi had an impressive 40 goals and 10 assists in 76 appearances for Misr El-Makassa since joining them from Al Ahly in 2017.

The 26-year-old is also the Egyptian Premier League all-time top foreign goalscorer with 77 goals, beating the likes of Ernest Papa Arko, Minusu Buba, Amado Flavio, and more.
