EXCLUSIVE: Ghanaian youngster Adjei Sowah promoted to first team of Belgian giants Anderlecht

Ghana's young defender Emmanuel Adjei Sowah has been promoted to train with the first team of Belgian giants Anderlecht after just three months at the club, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 19-year-old, who is the younger brother TP Mazembi midfielder Daniel Nii Agyei, was promoted on Thursday after excelling with the youth side.

He participated in the full training session of the club behind closed doors as part of the first team squad prepared their Europa League clash later in the night.

Sowah's call-up to train with the first Anderlecht bodes well for the Ghanaian right-back who has been highly rated since joining the club in the January transfer window.

While his promotion does not necessarily mean an automatic place in the club's starting line up in future matches, it shows the coaches hold him in high respect for his talents.

The youngster has been a core part of the club's U19 side since his move from Ghanaian side Dreams FC and his promotion has come as no surprise to many observers of the youth side.

Further training with the first team will enhance his chances of making his debut for before the end of the season.

His progress also bodes well for Ghana U20 side the Black Satellites ahead of the start of the qualifiers in May.
