Italian born footballer of Ghanaian descent Emmanuel Gyasi is open to playing for the Black Stars.

Born in Palermo to Ghanaian parents, the exciting forward has in the past few years been torn between representing the Italy national team or the Ghana national team.

Gyasi has finally made up his mind on representing the West African country, a decision he says he owes to his parents.

Speaking in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport he said: "I chose the Ghanaian one, I owe it to my parents. I hope the time for the call-up arrives and I would like to celebrate it with them like my father's 50th birthday last year".

Gyasi was instrumental for Spezia as they secured Serie A promotion for the first time in their history after seeing off Frosinone in the promotion play-off final. He scored the only goal in the first leg victory at the Stadio Alberto Picco.

He has made 22 appearances for Spezia in the Serie A and has scored two goals.
