The Ghanaian's current deal with the club is due to expire this summer and for months now, there has been much speculation with regards to the player's future.

However, the Austrian side have offered the left-back contract extension offer which will see him remain at the club until summer 2023.

"There have been talks for a long time, we made the player an offer, but we can't meet the financial expectations of his management. We really want to keep him, but we certainly can't do that at any price," Sporting Director Rainer  Wöllinger confirmed.

A number of clubs are interested in the former West African Football Academy left-back with his agent currently speaking with clubs in France, Belgium and Denmark, it has been claimed.

Boateng has impressed heavily since he joined the side on a permanent contract after an initial loan spell at LASK Linz.

The former West African Football Academy left-back has clocked 22 appearances for the side this term

Kennedy Boateng joined LASK from WAFA in the 2016/17 season before joining Ried on loan after struggling to break into the LASK team.
